Why Automated Phone Calls Are Still the Most Reliable Emergency Channel

In a genuine emergency, a fire, a severe weather event, a security incident, SMS and email can be ignored, delayed, or simply not seen if a device is on silent or face-down. A phone ringing is impossible to miss.

Automated voice calls are the only channel that demands the recipient's immediate attention. They work on every phone, smartphones, feature phones, desk phones, and landlines, without any app installation or data connection. They reach the elderly, the non-digital, and those in secure facilities where smartphones are prohibited.

CampanaOne's voice broadcast engine initiates all calls simultaneously, not sequentially. 10,000 calls begin ringing at the same moment, not one after another. This is the critical difference between a mass notification system and a phone tree.

Automated Call Features

🔊

Text-to-Speech (TTS)

Type your message and CampanaOne converts it to natural-sounding speech using high-quality TTS. Personalise each call with the recipient's first name. Supports multiple languages and regional accents.

🎙️

Pre-Recorded Audio

Upload an MP3 or WAV file for calls that require a human voice, important for high-trust scenarios like executive communications or sensitive incidents. Mix recorded audio with TTS for opening and closing phrases.

1️⃣2️⃣

Keypress Response Capture

"Press 1 to confirm you are safe. Press 2 if you require assistance." Responses are captured in real time and logged against each contact. View a live breakdown of responses as they arrive.

🎭

Custom Opening & Closing Phrases

Configure a branded opening (e.g. "Hello [First Name], this is a message from Acme Corporation.") and closing phrase per division. Tokens for first name, last name, and organisation name are substituted automatically per call.

📞

Toll-Free & Local Caller ID

Recipients see your organisation's number, not an unknown number from a random carrier. Improves answer rates dramatically. Supports toll-free numbers, local DIDs, and SIP trunk integration.

📋

Call Detail Records (CDR)

Every call is logged with duration, outcome, response captured, timestamp, and carrier information. CDR data is retained for compliance, available via API, and exportable as CSV or PDF.

Automated Calls FAQ

How many simultaneous automated calls can CampanaOne make?

CampanaOne initiates all calls simultaneously, not sequentially. For a list of 10,000 contacts, all 10,000 calls begin ringing at the same moment. Our telephony infrastructure scales automatically to support any volume, including mass crisis scenarios with no prior notice.

What happens if a contact doesn't answer?

Unanswered calls are logged as "no answer." CampanaOne's auto-resend feature will retry the call after a configured interval (e.g. 15 minutes) and, if still no response, automatically escalate to SMS or email. The maximum number of retries and escalation channels are fully configurable per campaign.

Can automated calls be personalised per recipient?

Yes. The call script can include tokens such as [First Name], [Last Name], and [Organisation Name] which are substituted with each contact's actual data before the TTS engine renders the audio. This makes mass voice notifications sound personal and legitimate rather than robotic.

Does CampanaOne support landlines as well as mobile numbers?

Yes. CampanaOne calls any E.164 phone number, mobile or landline. Each contact record supports up to three phone numbers (e.g. mobile, work landline, home). You can configure which number to call first and how to cascade to the others if there is no answer.
